Looking for careers help?

It’s been awhile since our last blog! So, this is just a quick ‘refresher’ about what careers support can help with and why it’s worth getting some.

Careers advice and support can be accessed through a number of ways. If you are still in the education system, your school, college or university will have a range of careers activities happening. This could include employers coming in, work experience, careers education in the curriculum. And crucially, personal careers guidance. This will be offered by a qualified careers adviser. You can use this time to talk through your ambitions, future ideas - or lack of them, and the various options that are open to you in the future.

Careers support can be offered in person or virtually!

If you aren’t in education any more, there are a few different places you could look. The local Adult Education College may have some support they could give you, Job Centre Plus is another option. You can also find out if there are any independent careers advisers, either in your area or online. The CDI Professional Register is a good place to start looking, as it has qualified advisers on it, like me!

Careers support can take you in so many different directions!

Having a chance to sit and talk to someone, just about your aims and ambitions can be a really powerful way to clarify your ideas and give you some clear direction. Why wait until the New Year/New You season starts? An independent careers adviser will be happy to talk through what they offer and how that should help you both in your current situation and in the future.

Why not get in touch?
